Welcome back for this week’s edition of Dollar Bin Digging where I spotlight a few books to keep an eye out for to snag on the cheap.

This week, I look at some more fun speculation related to the recent news, leaks, rumors, theories, and announcements. Topics ranging from X-Men to Batman to Dead Space and more. Just some more fun books to hunt for cheap based some rumors for upcoming MCU projects and comics.

Check out the video if you want to see some more books that I talked about this week that are not presented below:

As I always say, Comics should be fun; and I want to provide content that keeps this hobby the good time that it should be. Anyway, if you follow my IG, then you may have seen some of these pick-ups before as I typically share my pick-ups there when they happen. Check it out if you like seeing more books than I cover here. So, without further ado, let’s see what you should be looking out for in those bins…

Let’s be honest, we see a lot of random Uncanny books in cheap boxes. It has had a decent print run for decades and find back issues is not hard. In fact most Uncanny X-Men books are mostly run fillers to collectors.

Now this is a first appearance that has been around for ages, and one that doesn’t command a lot of attention. As such the 1st appearance of Madelyne Pryor may be found in those cheap boxes if you’re lucky.

Looks like she may be playing a role along with the most famous Marvel Clone, Ben Reilly, in the upcoming dark web event. So who knows, this might find its way out of those cheap boxes and up with the other minor keys in the Uncanny run.

Now this book already has some notoriety for being the 1st appearance of Xorn, but there is another first in this one with the character Sublime.

One of those crazy Grant Morrison ideas where this parasitic type bacteria is a character that dates back a long way, based on the current Marauders run. The character has even been retconned into the Weapon X program run for Marvel Comics Presents as an unnamed (at the time)Dr. Sublime in issue #79.

Whatever the case this is an interesting 1st nonetheless and one that should catch your eye as the cover is laid out sideways.

Ok this may be a reach, but I was reading a CBR article that noted that the 2nd Joker to appear in the current The Man who Stopped Laughing Joker book could be this rando character that Joker “killed” in the epilogue to the Joker war in Batman #100.

I put killed in quotes because if this is true then he wasn’t dead, even though he sure looks dead. But who knows, it’s comics right? And it could be a fun story f this guy did end up being a player as another Joker.

Either way there were a number of covers and copies printed of this issue from 2020 so finding it in a discount bargain overstock bin is probably not a stretch. Could be worth a flier.

Now this fantastic Survival Sci Fi Horror game is getting a remake soon as they just released some new revamped gameplay footage. I’m personally looking forward to this as the original was a lot of creepy fun.

That said, I am partial to these video game adaptations and mentioned this run in my Hidden Gems videos a few weeks back.

So technically not a repeat here for you Dollar Bin Digging fans as this is another video game adaptation run you should grab if you stumble upon it for cheap. Decent return on investment if you can scoop them up for a buck a piece. Plus some awesome Ben Templesmith art to boot.

Maddy Pryor show sup earlier as a kid in Avengers Annual #10 (first Rogue). It’s… weird, even by X-Men standards.

Joe, I actually covered that in the video. Its not the same character. Chris Claremont explained he just liked the name and used it twice. 🤘😎🤘
