The packaging company said that the custom brush design can be industrialized within a month

Cosmetic packaging expert Albéa announced that under its "Make 3D yours" service, it can now provide custom-designed mascara brushes within a week and achieve industrialization in just four weeks.

Albéa's customers were invited to participate in seminars with Erpro, Albéa's 3D printer partner, to track their projects step by step and verify their samples on site.

According to the Paris-based company, the development kit only charges a nominal fee and aims to increase awareness of 3D technology by demonstrating its advantages.

"With this technology, we are able to create up to ten brushes of different shapes in a week," explains Laura Boroni, marketing manager of Albéa Bottanuco (Italy), who is Albéa's global mascara center of excellence.

"Because we can print almost everything, the design options are endless, which makes the mascara brush absolutely unique for customers.

"The mascara brush is just the beginning: thanks to our design experts, we will extend this 3D product to other product categories and provide the brand with a very short design-to-production process," Boroni added.

"And we will not compromise on sustainability: we are already providing bio-based brushes and will provide more sustainable options in the future."
