BOOM! Studios has revealed Briar #1 has already sold out before release and will be getting a second printing. If you can’t find a copy in your local comic shop, you can get the second printing on October 26th. The first issue releases in comic shops tomorrow, written by Christopher Cantwell with art by Germán García and colors by Matheus Lopes.

“Fans and readers aren’t sleeping in on their BRIAR alarms,” said Filip Sablik, President, Publishing & Sales, BOOM! Studios. “Cantwell, García, Lopes, and AndWorld Design have created a post-apocalyptic fantasy blockbuster that readers and fans can’t afford to miss, and we’re thrilled to go back to press to ensure everyone can jump into this new series from the beginning!”

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 27, 2022) – BOOM! Studios revealed today that BRIAR #1, the premiere issue of the brand new four-issue limited comic book series from Eisner Award-nominated writer, producer, and director Christopher Cantwell (Regarding the Matter of Oswald’s Body, Iron Man, Halt and Catch Fire), acclaimed artist Germán García (Ka-Zar: Lord of the Savage Land), colorist Matheus Lopes (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow), and letterer AndWorld Design (The Many Deaths of Laila Starr) that reimagines the classic fairy tale as an epic dark fantasy adventure, has sold out at the distributor level ahead of release!

In response to the overwhelming support from retailers and fans, BOOM! Studios has announced BRIAR #1 SECOND PRINTING, featuring character design cover art by series artist García, available in stores October 26, 2022.
