South Windsor — SOUTH WINDSOR – The Friends of the SWPL will offer a tag sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the South Windsor Public Library, 1550 Sullivan Ave.

The sale will take place rain or shine. There will be special offers from the Friends in the sale including gently used adult, youth, and children hardback and paperback books in fiction and nonfiction, plus mysteries, science-fiction, romance, and large print books.

There are classics, poetry and plays, foreign language, sports and games, humor, self-help, health and exercise, cookbooks, parenting, gardening, crafts, home improvement, business, history, biographies, educational resources, pets, animals, audio books, music CDs, and DVD movies. Items will be available for sale outside the South Windsor Public Library as well as two rooms inside the library.

Join the Friends and get a special gift on Aug. 13 only. Friends membership applications are available at the South Windsor Public Library and online at the library’s website under the category Friends. All proceeds from the sale will be used for the library and community programs that the Friends sponsor.

The Friends used book sale operates year-round in the South Windsor Public Library with an ever-changing inventory of items. It is presently open Tuesdays from 9:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:15 a.m. to noon.
